So it was Easter again...

And people told me, Jesus had died and suffered for me. But when asked, none of them would tell me they actually believed I do deserve what Jesus endured, so it seems he didn't suffer in my place. They also couldn't tell me about any other tangible danger he averted by giving his life. So in the end it comes down to people telling me a guy was tortured to death and thaey think that's awesome. I tend to politely disagree...

People usually tend to forget, that Jesus was supposedly the messiah of the Jews. Didn't care much for the rest of the world.

Easter

Alvarin, I remember somewhere in the new testimant that Jesus told his followers to go among the lost houses on Israel. It also told them not to go among those not of the other people.

Easter was put on the Holy Days of Esther, the Egyptian Goddess of Resurrection, Rebirth and Renewal. Her cult was among those forced to merge with the Christian church at the council of Nice around 250AD.

Just think, God condemned the entire human race for something Adam and Eve did, not fully understanding it was wrong, and then made his own son suffer horribly just to undo that punishment to some of the people.
